Mobile Responder

Video Transcript

First Due's Mobile Responder app is the premier mobile app for first responders, built for iOS and Android. This app has more than just the power to get you to the incident; it provides a visualization of your agency's units and delivers access to the First Due web app. Let's dive in and explore its capabilities.

The first thing to note is the Incident List. Tap on any incident to pull up its details. Here, you'll see status buttons to log your response, a Quick Route button that gives you turn-by-turn directions, and a Calculate Route button that provides directions to the incident right from the app itself. You can also edit the pre-plan, check the response dashboard, and review the call history for that location. Scrolling down, you'll see the Building Story, incident notes from your CAD, and status logs for units and personnel responding to the incident.

You can turn on and off any layers you wish to view on the map, as well as use the Ruler tool to determine hose lays and distances to exposures.

The Units button will display a list of units in the system. Tap any unit to view its location on the map. Transparent icons indicate units that are currently not in motion, whereas solid icons represent units in motion. With the Chat Group feature, units can securely communicate with one another across devices.

The main menu provides options for managing your First Due profile, links to outside websites, and the app's user preferences. Additionally, convenient one-tap links to the First Due web page are available, so you can access other modules in First Due anytime. On the iPad, you can even conduct inspections offline for areas with spotty connectivity.

If you are a member of more than one agency using First Due, you can easily switch between accounts. Put the power of First Due in the palm of your hand with the First Due mobile app. Data drives the 21st-century fire service; First Due puts you in the driver's seat with our mobile app.
