First Due: Next-Generation ePCR
Get ready for the all new First Due ePCR experience. Learn more about First Due's completely redesigned platform for EMS.
Patient care and reporting is a core element of providing emergency medical care. After all, if you didn’t document it, it didn’t happen. The ePCR solution from First Due is easy to use and easy to manage. Our ePCR is 100% compliant with national and state NEMSIS standards, so you can trust that the data submitted to your state will pass with flying colors. The NEMSIS validation rules are built right in.
As you complete the incident, the system provides visual indicators if required fields are missing or incorrect. The first part of the ePCR is the Response section. Here, you document crew information, times, response, and scene details. Incident times auto-populate from your NFIRS incident report to reduce both errors and time spent entering data.
The Information section is where all the patient's demographic and medical history is captured. We keep it straightforward and simple. In the Assessment section, you'll document your patient impression and a full assessment. With our sliders, you can quickly capture your head-to-toe assessment. For cardiac arrest patients, there's a specific section for fully capturing key data elements necessary for assessing performance and outcomes.
You’ll be able to document vital signs in seconds using our vitals panel. Any lab results or diagnostic imagery can be documented as well. We integrate with all major brands of cardiac monitors, so vitals and EKGs can be directly imported into your ePCR, further reducing keystrokes and mouse clicks.
Treatments are a breeze to capture with our quick search field. Medications administered are entered with pre-filled dosages. Airway management merits its own section for documenting types, attempts, and confirmation. Enter supplies used and billing details for reimbursement. The Outcomes section provides a method for patient follow-up upon transfer to a receiving facility.
To close out the ePCR, patient disposition is documented along with the all-important narrative and signature capture. Patient refusal, HIPAA, and other agency-created forms are documented on this page. The system not only enables custom default fields but also allows you to create custom questions and workflows that hide unnecessary fields. Module permissions help you remain HIPAA compliant by preventing unauthorized users from accessing ePCRs other than their own.
Completing ePCRs shouldn’t consume your day. With the First Due ePCR documentation module, patient reporting is accomplished right the first time—fast, easy, and complete. Data drives the 21st-century fire service. First Due puts you in the driver’s seat with our ePCR solution.
