Managing apparatus, equipment, and consumables effectively is a daunting task for any agency. The Assets module from First Due is an easy-to-use and easy-to-manage platform for taking care of all your agency's assets. The system enables mobile-friendly completion of apparatus, equipment, kit, and station checks. You can create, track, and manage work orders like never before. You can also document medications, including controlled substances, with this versatile all-in-one solution.
Let's dive into the Assets module now to look at the potential it holds for your department. The dashboard delivers an at-a-glance view of any checks due today, as well as your work order list and a system log of recent module activity.
As mentioned, you can complete apparatus, equipment, kit, and station checks. The process is similar for all four, so let's focus on apparatus checks.
Once you've completed a checklist and set its schedule, you're ready to conduct a check. Here at the apparatus main page, you'll first see the vehicle overview with essential vehicle data. The checklist section lets you begin a check with a single click.
We've also made it easy to complete equipment checks. While completing an apparatus check, the streamlined checklist within a checklist prevents clunky navigation found in other systems. We've got you covered when multiple people need to be in a check simultaneously. Your engineer and firefighters can check their part of the vehicle in the same checklist without causing conflict. Your checklists have never gone more smoothly. As you go through the checklist, any failed items allow you to create a work order directly from the checklist. It also lets personnel conducting a subsequent check know that a work order has been created, thus eliminating duplicate work orders.
Speaking of work orders, our Kanban-style work order boards enable you to manage work order flow with easy drag-and-drop functionality. Notifications to key personnel are built-in, so no one misses important information about maintenance events. Inventory management of consumable supplies is easy to set up and manage. Once you've built your list of supplies, you can manage them via compartments on apparatus, storage locations, stations, and in kits.
We’d be remiss if we didn't mention that barcode scanning is fully integrated into equipment and inventory. Simply scan the item, and it takes you to its page in the system. Switching out vehicles and equipment is easy with our apparatus swap feature. You’re able to quickly move equipment and update the unit ID.
Last but not least is our medications management tool. This lets you fully track all your meds, including controlled substances, thanks to the power of the Assets module.
Everything from apparatus to controlled substances and equipment to consumables can be managed from any device, anywhere, anytime. Data drives the 21st-century fire service, and First Due puts you in the driver's seat with our assets management solution.
